EDIT: The shark was NOT INJURED OR KILLED . We cut the line shortly after the photo, which you'd know if you read the description. He's floating like that because he's tired, he swam off rather quickly and unharmed though. Only pointing this out because I post this and immediately am accused of not loving animals and other such things. I'M GOING TO BE A VET. ANIMALS ARE MY LIFE . Sorry for the tirade, but seriously, people.
Whiskers the shark: a 600 lb shark that my boyfriend and I labored to reel in for a grueling two hours on a fishing charter. The couple that ran the boat said it was probably the biggest shark they had ever brought in... Awesome. Time of a lifetime, for sure! (although I reinjured my shoulder and bruised my arm in the process...) We took this photo just before we cut the line.

Thats awesome! I dont understand why people are freaking out, a small hook should not hurt the shark, they are pretty tough animals XD We once caught a small dog shark once on accident, but thats not really the same..
